Who Should I Nominate?

| 08 nomination needs | nomination needs (PDF)| nomination form |
Many kinds of leaders are found in the Bible and in secular history. The Lord Jesus Christ is our example of what a leader is in Christian service. God used many people in the Bible as leaders in His work: (1) Noah, (2) Abraham, (3) Joseph, and (4)Paul.

Leaders often possess similiar characteristics. To assist you in your discernment process, please reflect on the following attributes of leaders as you consider people to nominate for leadership roles within the synod.

Leaders are an example of faith, active in love and support of their congregational, synodical, and regional community.

A Christian leader witnesses for Christ through his lips,
hands, life, and works (Matthew 5:6).

Leaders have a strong CERTAINTY as a leader and are dilegent in their area of serving.

Certainty is a sure fact or freedom from doubt. ". . . God sent me ahead of you. . .He made me father to Pharaoh. . . God has me lord of all Egypt" (Genesis 45: 5, 8, 10).

Leaders share their vision with others. Vision is power of seeing (things) by clear thinking. Church leaders need to know how to put a God-given plan into practice. These leaders are the ones to influence other members. They lead others to carry out the agreed goals. They follow the example of Christ.

A Christian leader depends on God to change from making mistakes to advancing things for God, others, and him/herself (Genesis 45:4-9).

Who do you know has these qualities?
Please consider nominating this person for a synod position. To learn about what election needs the synod has for the upcoming synod assembly please visit.....(more information coming.)
