This event is for all the men in Region 1, which includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska.

This event will begin at 9:00AM (check-in and coffee from 8-9) and will conclude by 5:00PM.

 

"Building for the Future"

Featured speakers:

• Roland Martinson, professor of Children, Youth and Family at Luther Seminary. St. Paul MN. He has been the lead researcher for the LMM Young Men's Ministry project and is one of the authors of Coming of Age: Exploring the Identity and spirituality of Young Men. He is a popular speaker at youth and men's events.
  
• Peter Mayer is much more than the lead guitarist for Jimmy Buffett. He is a committed Christian musician and strong supporter of LMM. He has performed and lead worship for men's events across the country and most recently coordinated and led worship for the ELCA Youth Gathering.
  
• Rev. Chris Boerger, Bishop of the Northwest Washington Synod, will be our Bible Study Presenter.
  
• Doug Haugen, Director of the Lutheran Men in Mission, will bring us greetings and provide resources for the establishment of men's ministries in your congregation.

  There are several motels within a 15-minute drive of our location.  A list of motels will be posted at the bottom of our web page www.ourmim.org/Events.html.   Please put this event on your calendars and share this information with the men in your congregation.

• First recruit a bunch of guys from your church and then register them on-line as a group. Go to www.elca.org/lmm/gatherings.html or download a paper registration form from that page. If you have problems downloading because of low speed dial-up, there is also a simplified paper registration form on our web page www.ourmim.org/Events.html.
  
• Registration:
  One man only - $30.00 for a single registration
  Two or more men $25.00 each - any number.
  (With 4 or more paid $25.00 registrations the Pastor is free). 
• Room Registrations:
  We have reserved a block of rooms at the Everett Holiday Inn and arranged for group rates. If you reserve a room before February 23rd, you have a choice of a king or double queen room for $109.00 per night, plus tax. After February 23rd, the block reservations will be released, but if rooms are still available, our special room rates will apply. So please call in your room reservations as soon as possible. You can make room reservations by calling 1-866-700-2000. To get our special room rate, tell them you are attending the "Lutheran Men in Mission Regional Conference".

  Interstate 5 to EXIT 199. Head east on 4th street (State Rt. 528) for about .7 miles. Turn left on 47th Ave. then slight right (It becomes Armor Road). Go about .7 miles to the corner of 51st Ave. and Grove Street.You have arrived. There is plenty of parking just north of the building.
