The Endowment Five

Your Mission Gift Developer is a fellow Lutheran who shares your love for the Lord and understands your desire to help spread the Gospel. Developers are experienced professionals who can assist you with Christian estate planning and the transfer of blessings to family, heirs, and the ministries you care about.

Counselors can share a variety of choices that you may have in developing a gift plan. These choices may include different gift instruments, and that depends on your stewardship goals.

In the past, the Oregon Synod was blessed with the ministries of professional Directors of Planned Giving, most recently that of Dr. Patricia Larsen. Since her passing last fall, that ministry is being carried forward by a team of volunteer Mission Gift Developers (currently Bonny Groshong and Tonia Lindquist), with help from ELCA Foundation Representative Rev. Keith Nelson. 

Sometimes, individuals need assistance giving gifts to congregations. Sometimes, congregations need help knowing how best to receive those gifts. That is where your Synod Endowment Committee can be of help! Our experienced team of Mission Gift Developers can meet with individuals, pastors, or leadership teams to help with any questions you might have and connect you with resources you might need.
