Part-time Director of Children's Ministry
Nativity Lutheran Church, Bend
Director of Children’s Ministry (K-5)
Seeking a dynamic, charismatic leader to build a fun and enriching Children’s Ministry founded on the principles of our church. This is a part time position (about 20 hours per week), paying approximately $10K/yr.
The ideal candidate will be a creative person who can work from the ground up to recruit, train, and supervise teachers, teach students directly, and grow the student population through “missionary work” with member parents and non–Church-goers. The programs you create will include not only Sunday school, but also vacation bible school, pageants, meetings, family events, and seasonal activities. It is also hoped you will have: college education, background in child development/Christian education, some training in music/arts, and access to your own car.
The Director will be supervised by, and report to the Church Pastor. Background check required, raises/continuation subject to annual performance review. Resume’s accepted through May 30, position to begin July 1.

Faith Formation encompasses the spectrum of educational programs offered within Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church (BSLC) with a special emphasis on programs for families and youth. The Faith Formation Director is responsible for assessing the educational needs of the congregation, developing a range of program offerings, recruiting and managing education program volunteers, and administering and evaluating the program’s effectiveness.
