The National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive

Help us raise 2-million pounds of food for the Oregon Food Bank Network in just one day. Look for a yellow, plastic food drive bag in your mail during the first week of May. Fill the bag with nutritious, nonperishable food and place it by your mailbox early on Saturday, May 10. Letter carriers will collect nonperishable food donations left by mailboxes and take them to their local post office. Trucks will pick up the food and deliver it to regional food banks of the Oregon Food Bank Network. All donated food stays in the community where it was collected.

Most wanted foods include: tuna fish, soups, stews, chili, canned fruits, vegetables, beans, rice and pasta.

Do NOT include glass items, homemade items or previously opened containers.

This year’s goal is to collect 2-million pounds of food during the National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive. Thank you! Your support will help us reach our goal.

Looking for people who are excited to
minister in a culture different from their own
Rainbow of Promise
Namaste! This traditional Indian greeting is commonly accompanied by a slight bow made with the hands pressed together in front of the chest, palms touching, and can be translated as “the Spirit in me greets the Spirit in you”. Do you have a great desire to meet new people; to greet the Spirit within them? What would it be like to greet others in a place where Christians are a minority in a primarily Hindu culture? What would it be like to serve on a team that is called to give support to Indian Christians who are sometimes persecuted, or share Christ’s love with the poor or hurting? Are you able to passionately and openly speak about your faith with others?

Youth Encounter will sponsor Rainbow of Promise, a relational music ministry team to India and Nepal for August 2008-August 2009. We are looking for people who are excited to minister in a culture different from their own! We want people who are passionate about Jesus and sharing His love!

To apply for Rainbow of Promise or any of the other teams Youth Encounter sponsors please visit www.youthencounter.org and click on Ministries!
