Council Training Program

  • Objectives to the Program:
    • To help church council members and congregation leaders understand their role and responsibilities in the context of their faith in Jesus Christ and in relationship to the church.
    • To teach leadership skills and practical application of these skills
    • To share what has worked in other congregations
    • To share available resources
  • Program Format
    • 4-6 hour workshop
    • scheduled cluster or individual congregation
    • designed for church council members, pastors, and congregation leaders
  • Content: Congregation planners and synod workshop leaders will select topics to be covered depending on the congregation's need and situation.
